“You can’t pack God into a hamburger and sell it on a street corner.”
You can’t pack God into a hamburger and sell it on a street corner. It’s been 1600 years since true Christians disappeared once this religion lost its brotherhood, sacrificial, esoteric, egalitarian, and mystical nature (to be fair, very few places still have the essence of it).
My question is, would Christianity have survived without being a whore to the state? You are just complaining that the whore is old and not fashionable.
As for the small communities of love, this is the right direction, but seeing what a majority of US Christians are voting for and the politics they sustain, it makes me sick; the slavery guys, the white racial segregated America were very Christians and treated their akin as animals on idiotic grounds. I can go for hours blasting “Christianity” and you would have no counter-argument because there is none…
So yeah… Christianity can and will go to hell but Jesus will stay, he was the first humanist reformer, the first revolutionary, the first to say “fuck y’all” and gave his blood for that, he was dangerous and that’s why they tried to domesticize his message for 1600 years, but now, that the church shows itself as just a tool for the state indoctrination, by the disappearance of institutional Christianity, Jesus, the beast is at large again and I swear to God,
Jesus is alive! Jesus is alive! Jesus is alive!
Aren’t you afraid? You should! They called the last Christians the ‘crazy for Jesus’, I think, being a Jesus follower today is nothing less than being crazy. In a holy good way.
The Invitation
For anyone interested, let’s have a mass in my garage! I have some bread and wine and good conversation! Under the earth, the fire that never ends is still burning casting the wholy spirit on the walls of history.
We don’t need cathedrals, we need heart to heart, gaze to gaze, hand in hand, chant with chant, break the bread together, laugh together, cry together, and this, this is called ‘following Jesus’, the rest is ridiculous theatrical bullshit.
We have to sacrifice the bull of abundance again so in the veins of this world pour again the fire of the blood of life. Not for the traitors and the merchants and the dogs and the serpents but for the noble ones who understand the meaning of the sun struck face, the rib of God pouring water and blood.
Who understand the true meaning of ‘Agnus Dei’ and the holy power of the rituals.
