Prayer from the Twelfth Hour
“And he called those who came in the twelfth hour,
and the last shall be as the first.”Matthew 20:16
but the Twelfth Hour has passed…
The last candle is lit, but the mirror is still black.
We must keep the light.
We must keep it.
I. It’s 1:59 A.M.
I will not keep this moment forever,
as any before.
I will not live forever,
as anyone before.
I came here naked
and plunged into chaos.
Bullies have power,
and Satan is dancing heinously on the stage.
Good wind is not blowing
from any direction.
No stream.
No thing.
II. The Dream
Brother, brother!
Dreaming of a beautiful forest,
with butterflies and fairies,
with Greek muses.
Sun, oh sun,
can you smell the scent of fresh grass?
Fresh hay for the little rabbits.
History died, finally.
Instead of the Apocalypse of John
,
we have peace and justice,
humanity, joy.
We all decide as one,
and one as all.
Today the world smiles,
the dream is beautiful,
the dream is here.
III. The Call
Brother, oh brother,
let us embrace,
let us do:
the revolution of prosperity
the revolution of listening
the revolution of the many
the revolution of the revolutions
revolution of responsibility
Bring peace and justice into being,
let us dream beautifully.
IV. The Awakening
Wide eyes open.
In the blinding darkness of the concert flashlights,
I’ve seen the unborn cone of light!
Silence in the middle of the chaos,
It’s here!
Quick!
You!
And You!
Up!
Wake up!
