happiness needs no reason.

Chasing anything
distracts one from what is.

Life engine is from being pulled by an ideal.
Accomplishment is life’s balm, its peace.

Yet even peace is not to be chased…
for when you find yourself
peace is with you.

Life is life…
as the solid summit of the mountain
where the eagle stands proud,
looking over all.

The mountain's crushing might
does not need apologies,
nor motives.

Martyrs died in ecstasy
by serving the Eternal.

Prison saints endured any injury, torture,
any spit from their executioners.
They baffled their jailers
with their kindness, their smiles,
and their indestructible aura.

No evil could prevail against
their Peace and Grace.

You are a flame,
composing the eternal fire of the universe.

Find your color,
your shape,
your height,
your warmth…
and dance with the other flames
to affirm:
