The Irreducible Cosmos: Why a Non-Algorithmic Reality Demands the Divine
Note: The following thesis explores the implications of a non-computational universe, arguing that broken symmetries, non-universal laws, and the limits of physics naturally open the door to consciousness, free will, and a cosmic mind.
The non-algorithmic nature of the universe means that laws of nature can be broken and supernatural events can occur. This is the strongest proof of forces beyond physics one can provide, as it acknowledges that the laws of our universe are not universal.
We already had the intuition that events like the Big Bang are not reducible to a “natural law.” Today, by proving the impossibility of a computational nature of the universe, we have proved:
The impossibility of total coherence
The absolute possibility of the supernatural
Of course, we don’t know the nature of this supernatural universe, but one can bet on its coherent nature and, why not, on its “divine-like” mind and will.
We can even imagine that our almost-rational unified universe has a dual counterpart of wholly broken laws, which allows for our existence: an overall unified chaos, yet a local, uncontrolled havoc of contradictory rules driven by free will.
Some will object that a non-algorithmic reality does not inherently mean regulated chaos. I give them the point; yet still, how do you explain the rational and intentional nature of consciousness? Intentionality means order, even if the underlying substrate is chaotic by nature.
Note on intentionality:
Let’s say you have a boat, and it’s sinking, and you have in the same time a fire on the boat, what should you priotize? It depends on your intention: do you want to keep the boat afloat the longest? Then you will have to face the two hazards before the boat pass the point of sinking. You will have to choose which one of the hazards to deal with first as to have time to deal with the other. I would say, go for the fire first but it depends. If your intention is short sighted, then you can play music on the deck like on the Titanic and wait for the water or the fire to do it’s deeds. Intention direct action and give a coorodinated patern to the event occuring, a precedence. We call logic an architecture of events that stick with an intentionality; As I said, if your goal is to have the ship afloat even tomorrow, then you go with extinguishing the fire then repair the hole, it’s logic, it’s a second degree coherence of the action. If your goal is to sink anyway, then you do no action, which is logic with the intention of sinking. The ilogic thing will be to do the action that do not align with the intention, it’s a broken pattern, a broken coherence in the whole system. But then, a second though can appear, let’s say, the intention is not to sink the boat but to collect the insurance. The intention of collecting the insurance superseed the intention of sinking the boat so overall the logic of the system stays valid. We see that we judge the logic of a system by it’s ultimate intentionality then by recurent precedence we conclude if the ensemble is coherent. Some ensembles can be coherents in part or in whole depending where you want to situate your point of view. Sinking the ship is not your intention then extinguishing the fire is coherent, but then you remember the insurance, so you change your stance to be coherent with the last result you want. Intentionality and coherence is affirmed by the last one of the goals intended, a way that do not let you go out from the labyrinth is incoherent as a whole but can be coherent in part because you can be nearer the exit than another path you could take which can bring you to the oposite part of the labyrinth. Intentionality is the ultimate organisational structure of action given to a path in order to have a definite result of exit. We can say that thinking is organized in different lenghts of thought that have each an intentionality embedded. Thinking is coherent in part or in totality only because one can admit that there are no broken laws of symetry inside the system. Now we realized that our universe is like a partial thinking of reality and we cannot infere an ultimate intentionality or goal. Which is paradoxical indeed, with the broken universal law theory we give place to the ultimate intentionality of the mind of God, then we affirm that ultimate intentionality is impossible because then there would not be only local coherent semi or almost-universal laws. Now, I can say with certitude that while ultimate intentionality exists, clearly God is changing his mind whenever he wants, that’s the beauty of this living thing we call: The universe.
Note on human mind and God mind:
We have seen that God can change his mind and surely does. We human do that all the time to stay in the sanity realm. You cannot have an ultimate intentionality that superseeds all as then we would have to respond to the question: why be born if we have anyway to die? What is the ultimate intentionality of the in-between if it’s incoherent with the ultimate goal? The truth is that intentionality is not definite and it depends in part of the system itself, intentionality is embededed in the possibilities of the system and some possibilities have more or less value compared to some universal standing principles we see all around. Intentionallity in itself in order to be coherent with the greatest intentionnality of all, the principles we call “moral” or aligned with universal laws of harmony or divinde geometry. Divine geometry are the rules of beauty, truth and justice that guide all actions. Not even God can break these laws that superseed his will, these are the static posture of the Ultimate. You can call God these laws and God the conscioiusness the moving action of these laws as the reality realm the instanciation or the ultimate resultant of these laws works. In this regard, humans are flawed instances of god-alike minds, while God himself which is the ultimate thinker is supposed to abid to these principles of divinde perfect geometry. That ensure that yes, God can change it’s mind but it’s more or less to tend to perfection as a human do but at a cosmic scale. Is God perfect? This is a static over-generalisation to characterize an object, I think he is not perfect nor imperfect but his action is perfect at any moment to reflect the best instance of the right action. Finaly, the difference between God’s mind and human mind is just a matter of scale, one can even argue as this is intuitivelly compelling that God is nothing else than the same as the individual conscience that is linked with each of the other consciences in an inconscient substrat of reality. God is then the consciousness with billions of eyes that try his best to reach the sublime.
I. The Architecture of Broken Symmetries
The nature of this universe, being rational, is absolutely flawed with broken symmetries, which provides the space for an informational architecture to exist.
I speculate that this could be akin to a “mind of God,” where “thought-like” informational coherent iterations can occur. Logically, we can imagine that:
The “universe of ideas” has a real substrate outside of our laws of physics.
The laws of physics are just filling the void left by the irrational part of the totality.
We can even speculate that our consciousness is a part of this irrational dual part, embedded within our rational universe in such a manner that one is not determined by the other, but rather is the dualistic embodiment of free quantum fluctuations.
II. The Atemporal Realm
This irrational universe is atemporal. Its laws can recursively operate against or in the direction of entropy.
There are an infinite number of possible laws, and there is no definitive equilibrium, but rather a definite sum of rational structures at any given time. There is no need for precedence.
III. The Heartbeat of God
Maybe our rational universe is just the heartbeat of God, which creates it at every instance, then dissolves it back into its consciousness at the end of each cycle, then again creates the complete image of the universe which dissolves back.
The only motive for the impression of continuity and temporality is that this “heartbeat” of God, in our reality, manifests as hard, real images, due to the persistent coherence of each painting drawn by the mind of God.

We are like slices of new creation at each moment, but the transmission of information from one plane to the other passes through a broken pattern of non-universal laws we can call the mind of God.
We cannot state the time it takes God to create each instance of reality, and it is very possible that each instance takes a whole creation-to-doom cycle. The “mind of God” would be the only substrate for the transmission of information between two frozen cycles of what we call “reality,” which are merely frozen panels of creation.
Our souls are God’s mind between the flashes, and there is no static memory: the whole is recreated from the beginning at the exact moment when the serpent eats its tail, being simultaneously the end and the beginning, the mouth and the tail of the circle.
