A note on reading
This poem is a mirror.
It is not about one side or the other, but about the mechanism itself, the ancient, corrosive grammar of justification that severs action from consequence, and truth from power.
It is the syntax of empires, the dialect of bullies, the final refuge of every failing argument.
To see it is to disarm it.
Statement of Purpose and Boundaries
This text is a poetic and philosophical examination of propaganda, how language inverts moral reality to justify harm and erase accountability.

Ethical stance: The work affirmatively rejects antisemitism, racism, Islamophobia, anti-Blackness, xenophobia, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, and every ideology of dehumanization.
Reading key: Each inversion is presented as call → corrupted echo to demonstrate how discourse severs action from consequence. The mechanism is the subject.

BIG BROTHER NEWSPEAK: The Dictionary of Inversion
The Dictionary of Inversion mirrors Orwell’s Newspeak, the language of Big Brother.
Like Newspeak, it condenses thought, sanitizes atrocity, and inverts moral reality, turning cruelty into virtue and oppression into necessity.
Each “BUT he…” exposes how power distorts truth and erases accountability.
Its rapid-fire structure captures the rhythm of propaganda, euphemistic and repetitive, designed to numb moral awareness.
These mechanisms are not fictional.
Modern bureaucratic doublespeak, media framing, euphemisms such as collateral damage or enhanced interrogation, and historical terms like the question or the extraordinary question used in pre-1800s French courts to designate judicial (legal) torture all operate in the same way, stripping reality of ethical weight.
THE QUESTION
Historically, French courts used “la question,” or the “extraordinary question,” (or the modern: “enhanced interrogation”) to refer to legal torture.
These terms masked the brutality of coercion behind legalistic language, framing extreme physical suffering as a sanctioned tool of justice.
Victims were subjected to pain to extract confessions, while the court presented it as orderly, rational, and legitimate.
This is a clear historical example of how authority uses euphemism and procedural framing to invert morality and normalize violence.
The poem, in effect, exposes the same mechanisms, showing how language itself can enforce domination and moral inversion.
TO NEUTRALISE
In modern intelligence and military jargon, the term neutralise is often used to describe the killing or elimination of a target, especially in covert operations.
Agencies such as the CIA employ it to mask the moral and human reality of assassination or extrajudicial execution, framing lethal action as a technical or operational task rather than a violent act.
Like euphemisms in propaganda or historical terms such as the question, neutralise transforms murder into sanitized language, stripping the act of ethical accountability and reducing human life to a manipulable variable within bureaucratic or strategic calculations.
