If you wannabe my reader, you’ll have to drink my blood turned into ink
When does one pass the threshold between wannabe writer and writer per se? Is CNN or CNBC journalism? Is an AI a writer? Is an artisan a writer? A writer is an artist who always writes with his own blood, which is always new as the river you might walk in is never the same, otherwise he is just a copyist, a human xerox. Then, don't tell me a writer has to have a public or money; I will remind you of Kafka, who wanted on his deathbed to throw all his writings to the trash. Sure, one can pretend to be a writer and even have some success, but a true writer will not give a frozen damn about popularity or money or status or recognition, because if this is your motivation, the muses will never grant you a pass to see the gods so you have something real to write. You will never be a writer if you want to be a writer, at best a good imitation that will never pass the test of time.
